i'm a happy loser.

I have come to the conclusion that I will never be an every day blogger.  This is because:
  1. I don't have the time.
  2. I don't have a computer at home & when I do bring it home I have to work.
Soooo... I guess this is the end of my structured happiness posts.  Let's all continue to look for the little gifts in our every day though that make it so worth it.  :)

I think instead I'll go back to my randimonious blogging ways w/ a strong emphasis on sewing.  Yes, that sounds like a GREAT idea.  I'll start w/ a few pictures!

I saw this on the way to work the other day.  I wonder how many people it freaked out at first glance.  Hehe...

We aquired some fake logs (complete w/ cool orange flames!) for our fireplace.  It actually warms me up, oddly enough...

I got a new pair of Chucks AND James  Taylor's greatest hits last week- best purchases a girl can make.

This is Jack starring at the bedroom door waiting for Heather to come to bed.  He stares at her all day long... kinda weirds us out sometimes.

He finally gave up & settled for me.

So Jack doesn't get all the blog love, here's Michael in his favorite wife beater.  He loves it, can't you tell?  :)

This is a dumb lady at Taco Bell.

An RV w/ a giant cartoon man holding a toothbrush on the Norwood Lateral.  That was freakin' awesome!

The tackiest gift in the world which TOTALLY made my day!  Look familiar?

Drinking sangria- God's gift to us.  Besides Jesus, of course.

I think that takes care of the random.  SEWING!  I almost forgot the sewing!

I started work on a birthday quilt for a little boy I call Sir

I cut out 60 5"x5" squares from five fat quarters...

& pieced them all together into the quilt top.

I think I need to start taking real pictures & not always rely on the Crack.

I bought the fabric for the border, backing & binding this week & am considering using a new batting that you iron on instead of basting.  Has anyone tried that?  I would like to say I'll work on his quilt this weekend but unless we get snowed in, I don't see that happening.  Our joint birthday party is on the 21st though so I need to finish it up soon!  I think I may even have enough scraps to make him a little pillow too.

I think that's it for now.  Have a great weekend, folks!  :)

  1. Wow - so much randomality - I don't know where to start.... I know - maybe we can both bring our quilts to work tomorrow and finish them there! Yes! I think that's a great idea!
