Hold onto your knickers kids cuz this is gonna be a rocky ride... may I present to you my first book review vlog!
There you have it, friends- my first vlog! Here are a few lessons for myself when taping the next one:
- don't scratch your nose
- get a camera holder to avoid looking like you're having a seizure while on a roller coaster

The next book I'll be reviewing is "Death in a Prairie House: Frank Lloyd Wright and the Taliesin Murders", written by William R. Drennan (available for purchase here). After reading the novel "Loving Frank" by Nancy Horan last year, I really wanted to learn more about what was actually true in her book and what wasn't. Drennan's book definitely answered my questions! I've always loved the art and philosophy behind the arts and crafts movement and learning more about Frank Lloyd Wright really helps give some context of the architecture of the 1920s and 1930s to me.
Until next time... peace out, Girl Scouts!
Congrats on your first Vlog!
ReplyDeleteThoughts:
1. Your hair looks good.
2. Jack watched it and wanted to know if that was "Titi that is Brady's friend." He now thinks you are famous.
3. The Kennedys are SCARY. Read about Rose next.
4. Fun review!

Dude! I am now convinced we are crafty soulmates. When I was in the eighth grade, I bid on and won a box of 22 books on the Kennedys on eBay without my mom's permission that she was then forced to pay for, but at least I read them all... I still haven't read this one, but I did read a really interesting article about it in people awhile back that talked about his decision to write the book and how hard it was for him. The taliesin
ReplyDeleteBook looks good too, I really enjoyed loving frank, and have photos from taliesin and taliesin west in Arizona if you ever want to see them. Fortunately dave doesn't mind FLW too much, so he's been a good sport about pilgrimages to his houses :) amazingly I still have never made it to falling water, even tho it's really not that far from here, and I imagine I should make the trip before it finally crumbles off the cliffs completely.
ReplyDeleteOh! Have you tried the sauve dry shampoo? I love it! (who DOESN'T go 4 days w/out washing their hair, right??) I'll have to look for your brand. God, I'm lazy.
