{cincinnati ROCKS}: sweet peace bakery

Cincinnati ROCKS are regular posts to share with y'all, the lovely blogosphere, some of the local bits of wonderful that make Cincinnati, not Cleveland, well... rock. Sit back, pop open a can of Mt. Dew and start thinking about moving here. :)
When I was trying out the vegan life in January, I became addicted to Sweet Peace BakeryMary Beth King is the owner of this local all vegan bakery and everything she makes is AMAZING!!!

Sweet Peace Bakery strives to create "World Peace through a peaceful diet" and, let me tell you, their delicious treats defintely put my tastebuds at peace. :)
Sweet Peace makes about every baked good you could imagine, from cookies to muffins to cakes and everything in between.
My personal favorites? Oatmeal Dream Pies and Better Fingers. Yum... OH! I almost forgot about the Voreos!
Oh my gosh, I can't even handle how good they are!
I was asked before if these pastries "taste vegan" (fellow carnivores, you know what I mean...) and I can honestly say that they taste like any other pastry you could find that's made with butter, eggs and shortening. In a word, all of the goodness from Sweet Peace Bakery is DELICIOUS!
If you live in Cincinnati, stop by one of these lovely establishments to indulge your sweet tooth:

  3. Mmmm, every time Sweet Peace updates facebook I find myself drooling uncontrollably. I can't wait to be back in the Nati so I can pick up this deliciousness at some of my favourite Tristate haunts.

  4. I so, so wish I could agree with you...but can't. I am open to trying and eating anything new. This time, not my thing. And, yes, you know I did purchase them while with you. And I tried later at home to choke down these treats. All yours sister. Even the kids spit them out. BUMMER.
